From HPCC President Mike Nadler: Our summer events are kicking into gear, so there is going to be a lot of activity here in the neighborhood. The next neighborhood wide event the Bryant Street Festival held on Saturday, 14 JUN 08, which will have live entertainment, children’s activities, and well local businesses out in front of their locations. In July and August, the HPCC sponsors Reservoir of Jazz taking place five weekends for people coming from all over, even other counties, to enjoy the music in the Park’s Beautiful setting. Our next meeting is at 7:00 PM on Thursday, 19 JUN 08, at St. Andrews on Hampton Street here in Highland Park. The Board will be conducting Council Business, as well as having committee reports, followed by our monthly presentation. We have scheduled Susan Rademacher, Park Curator with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, to talk about what this year’s plans are for our local Park. Should you have an interest in getting involved, or have any suggestions that we could add to the Councils list of interests, please feel free to contact me, and I shall handle your interests personally, or direct you to someone who deals in that area.
